Also repairs old, broken pewter, brass and copper items. Send us a picture of your product to be repaired and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Our products that are stamped and labelled with Wisby Tenn are a genuine gotlandic craftsmanship from start to finish. We design and manufacture all our objects ourselves in our workshop. Since November 2019 we have our workshop in Stenkyrka on northern Gotland.

The products are formed entirely by hand from a smooth sheet, making each product unique. The sheets are formed against various wood and metal templates using rubber mallets, plastic and steel hammers to obtain the basic shape of the product to be manufactured, after which the joints are soldered with a soldering iron or gas flame. Then the joints and any small marks are filed and polished away from the object with abrasive paper and fine steel wool. The surface on the outside of the object is machined with a special hammer, abrasive paper or blasting to achieve the desired surface. The production of all our items is 90% completely machine-free.
Some details and products are cast.

No part of our products are trycksvarvade that are commonly used today.

Most of the items are manufactured to order, but a certain stock of the most common products.

The products are sold to individuals and companies, as decorative items, christening gifts, for birthdays, weddings, corporate gifts, sports awards, medals, etc.

Our products have been stamped since 2012-08-01 with "WISBY TENN, SWEDEN" signature GS and year of manufacture.

Facts about Tin

Tin is a silvery metal extracted from tin and produced by carbon reduction. Then a tin is produced with a purity of about 98%, which through processing can produce a bare metal with up to 99.9% tin. Tin is an element that has the designation Sn and a specific weight of 7.3.

The chemical compounds of the tin are not toxic and the metal is therefore well suited to appliances such as cups, drums and the like, which come into direct contact with food. The metal is very soft and easily digestible with a melting point of 232 degrees, which has a good ability to attach to other metals (but not to aluminium), for example soldering and tin.
